Powered by Katemfe — nature’s sweetest protein.
Katemfe is a West African fruit known for producing an intensely sweet natural protein which has been used for centuries by indigenous peoples. We paired it with allulose to create a clean, easy-to-use sweetener drop that fits your everyday routine.
This is not a protein supplement.
It’s a natural sweetener that happens to be powered by one of the sweetest proteins found in nature.
Questions, answered.
Is this a protein supplement?
No. Sweet Drops are a sweetener, not a protein supplement. Katemfe is known for producing an intensely sweet protein, but Sweet Drops are used for sweetness, not protein nutrition.
How many servings are in one bottle?
Up to 200 servings, depending on how many drops you use.
Does it contain sugar alcohols?
No.
Does it contain stevia or monk fruit?
No. Sweet Drops are made without stevia and without monk fruit.
Is it keto/low-carb friendly?
Yes. Sweet Drops contain zero sugar and zero net carbs.
How much should I use?
Start with 2–4 drops and adjust to taste.
Is Katemfe the same thing as Thaumatin?
Kind of. The active compounds in Katemfe Fruit which produce the sweet taste are two proteins called Thaumatin I and Thaumatin II. However, there is synthetic Thaumatin being made in laboratories around the world, most commonly in China. This is often also cut with artifical sweeteners such as Aspartame and Neotame, in order to reduce the cost, since the real, naturally extracted, Thaumatin from Katemfe Fruit is fantastically expensive - up to 10,000 times more expensive than sugar.
We spent over a year searching the world for a reliable supplier that produces an all-natural Katemfe Fruit extract using chemical-free extraction processes. We were tempted by the China knock-offs, at 1/10th of the price, but at the end of the day we won't feed that to our kids or grandkids, nor to our customers. The search was worth it, and we're proud to bring you this delicious sweetener made from the real thing, straight from nature.
If you see "Thaumatin" rather than "Katemfe Fruit extract" on the ingredients list of a product, just know that it is most likely a cheap hybrid from China or a lab-synthesized Thaumatin molecule which strictly should be labeled "recombinant Thaumatin" but sadly the FDA does not currently require such labeling.
