Beyond Pancakes and Waffles - How People Use SWITCH Pancake Syrup

by Siouxie Boshoff on Jun 04, 2026

I have been going over various recipes that people use in their kitchens in real life lately.

Not just keto, but in general because sweeteners are used in sweet and savory dishes and sauces all the time.

Which got me thinking…

Our pancake syrup is THE pantry staple of 2026, and not just for sugar-free people.

Turns out sugar eaters love it as much as keto or sugar-free folks because yes, it’s that good.

Which is why it’s used in everything from pancakes to coffee, to bacon, and even salmon.

Let’s get into it…

I was talking to one of my in-laws last year. She wasn’t sugar free at the time, and neither were the vast majority of her kids or grandkids.

“I love your pancake syrup.”, she said at a family gathering as we watched our grandchildren splashing in the pool. “We use it to make maple-crusted salmon in the oven. It’s delicious.” My mind was blown.

Of course it makes perfect sense, but this was the first I’d heard of such a use. Which is ironic because in the keto/low carb space, salmon is definitely on the menu for most people. So, to have this recipe idea come from someone who wasn’t keto, low carb or sugar free, was just too good.

BUT, it illustrates the purpose of SWITCH® so beautifully.

To replace sugar in pantries and kitchens across America with staples that support the metabolism and the sweeter side of life.

You can’t fulfill that if the staples you’re offering aren’t delicious, or awesome.

So, when a typical sugar eater makes the switch to SWITCH simply because they love the product, I am as excited for them, as I am for our brand because they are choosing healthier without sacrificing joy. Win-win.

Which brings me to the point of this post.

Maple syrup is used in SO MANY delicious, amazing ways and recipes. But, if you’re like me, and don’t eat any sugar or anything that turns into sugar in the body, then what?

Sure, maple syrup is natural. But, it’s still sugar as far as the body and metabolism is concerned. Pair it with carbs, and yikes!

THIS is why I made my syrup in the first place. However, I was thinking so limited in just pancake-type use.

Once we released our syrup to the rest of the world, we started getting tagged in stories and posts on social media as customers shared how they use it.

They were using it every day, and beyond just pancake and waffles.

They put it in their coffee, their yogurt, on berries with whipped cream, and drizzled it over their spicy sausage + egg scramble (I’m looking at you Curtis @ketoxjunkie).

They added it to unsweetened protein drinks, nuts and sauces.

The tags kept coming, along with email replies. “It’s my favorite.”

I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s my favorite product to sample at trade shows and conferences. No one expects sugar-free pancake syrup to taste delicious and support stable blood sugar. So, they are ALWAYS surprised and delighted when ours does both.

One customer tagged us on her pumpkin waffle recipe with our syrup in the batter, and on the waffles, and I counted at least 5 more bottles in the background.

I replied to her story, “What are you doing with ALL those bottles?” She replied, “Lol. It’s the one pantry staple I keep stocked always because I use it for EVERYTHING.”

What is everything exactly? Turns out, it’s a lot.

Marinades that call for honey or maple are instantly transformed to sugar free. Pork belly glaze? Yes please. Sweet and Spicy Chicken? Let’s goooooo!

My husband makes ketofied Millionaire’s Bacon by soaking bacon in SWITCH Syrup, sprinkling crushed red pepper and black pepper on it, and air frying it for 7-9 minutes.

And yes, it rivals the bestselling sugary bacon at First Watch Restaurant, but without the diabetes.

Candied bacon, pecans, walnuts are all real, and made possible again for sugar free living.

Family celebrations, social events, every day meal prep, the list goes on.

Which is why swapping out sugary syrups for SWITCH Pancake Syrup is the easiest switch our customers and their families make because the sugar eaters don’t care that it’s sugar free and enjoy it as much (if not more) than the sugary versions.

There are 3 local breakfast restaurants that carry our pancake syrup exclusively instead of the sugar-free syrup available to them from restaurant suppliers.

Here are just a few of the ways people are using SWITCH Pancake Syrup in their everyday lives. Genius!
